IU astronomy faculty and students were well represented at this summer’s AAS meeting in Albuquerque. Zack Maas presented his research on “An Infrared View of Planet Hosting M-Dwarfs: Chemical Abundances from IGRINS Spectroscopy” as well as a talk at the Meeting-in-Meeting “50 Years of Spectrum Synthesis with MOOG.” Kristin Brady presented her poster “Studies of H2O and C02 towards RX Boo with SOFIA/EXES.” Songhu Wang spoke about “Hot Jupiters are Mildly Isolated” and present a press conference on “Hot Jupiters Are Not as Lonely as We Thought.” And, of course, it was fun to connect with colleagues old and new.
