Kristin Baker is one of the presenters of The Many Faces of the Tactile Galaxy Cards during the Monday AAS presenter session: Equity, Inclusion, Diversity, and Accessibility in Astronomy Education.
Kristin's group was also the subject of an article written by Kate Meredith of GLAS Education titled: Tactile Galaxy Cards: A New Accessible Hands-on Tool for Teaching describing a new tool using "playing" cards and 3D printing. It is quite fascinating and worth the read. Thank you Kristin for bringing this to our attention.
Along with Kristin, we have a number of other students attending. Current graduate students Laura Hunter, Kristin Brady, and Marvin Jones (Physics) will be present. One of our past REU students Madison Markham, whom you may remember from a previous news article: Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) Program, will be present and one of our newest Ph.D. graduates Jennifer Sieben, who just had her final dissertation edits accepted, will attend.
