IU students, postdocs, and faculty were well represented at the annual meeting of the Division of Dynamical Astronomy (DDA) at Michigan State University during the week of May 8, 2023. Songhu Wang, Brandon Radzom, Francisco Aros, Armaan Goyal, and Tom Steiman-Cameron all gave oral presentations on their research, and Xian-Yu Wang presented a research poster at the conference.
The DDA is a division of the American Astronomical Society that focuses on all aspects of dynamical astronomy including celestial mechanics, solar system dynamics, stellar dynamics, the dynamics of the interstellar medium, and galactic dynamics, and coordination of such research with other branches of science. IU astronomers’ presentations covered topics in exoplanet science, the effects of black holes on star clusters, and the role of gravitational instabilities in star-forming disks.
