Professor Liese van Zee participated in several meetings of the International Telecommunications Union Radiocommunications Sector (ITU-R) as a member of the US delegations to Working Party 7C, Working Party 7D, and Study Group 7. After many years of work, several Reports documenting scientific use of the radio spectrum were finalized at these meetings, including the Report co-authored by Professor van Zee regarding widely distributed arrays, with the specific application of results from the Event Horizon Telescope.
