Congratulations to our 2024 Indiana Space Grant Consortium fellowship awardees, Jessica Ranshaw, Brooke Kimsey-Miller, and Lexi Gault. Jessica is a third year graduate student working with Songhu Wang studying exoplanets. Brooke Kimsey-Miller is using the WIYN telescope in her research with John Salzer on the SFACT survey (Star Formation Across Cosmic Time). Brooke is specifically looking at how a galaxy’s environment affects the rate it forms stars and its composition. Lexi Gault, working with IU Alumna Betsey Adams (B.S. 2007) from ASTRON in the Netherlands and John Salzer to explore the diffuse ionized gas kinematics and chemical evolution of nearby dwarf galaxies.
