Graduate student Lexi Gault has been awarded the 2024-2025 Media Fellowship of the American Astronomical Society. This Fellowship provides training and experience science communication, including an opportunity to build up a writing portfolio, learn about career opportunities, and network within the science communication community. Lexi will regularly author AAS Nova summaries of new astronomy research, work with the AAS Press Office to assist in distributing press releases, and assist with press conferences at AAS meetings. Lexi will gain a broad understanding of the worlds of scientific publishing, communications, and policy.
