IU Astronomy and Astrophysics major Isaac da Silva just returned from the 2024 Student Leadership Conference in Washington DC. The conference is sponsored by the National Society of Black Physicists, the National Society of Hispanic Physicists, the Heising-Simons Foundation, and NASA. Students participated in workshops on science communication, social advocacy, preparing fellowship applications and project management, and heard from distinguished speakers on a variety of topics. This was a great opportunity for Isaac to meet students from other campuses who will be lifelong colleagues. Congratulations, Isaac!
