The Fall 2024 Advanced Python Workshop, hosted by IU Astronomy/STEM graduate students, will be held on October 22 from 5:30-6:45 pm in Swain West room 208.
This workshop is designed to provide a flexible, laid-back, and interactive environment for attendees to learn practical and powerful Python skills from volunteer instructors with diverse expertise. From advanced plotting techniques to querying online databases, these topics will help attendees become better prepared for research in a variety of STEM fields. Graduate instructors will also be available to help with Python installation and any other general Python/programming questions, so no prior experience is necessary to attend!
As was the case for our Python Crash Course, we recommend you bring a personal laptop to code with (no prior installation of Python is needed) and an appetite, as we will be providing free pizza!
If you plan on attending, please fill out this brief interest form, where you can request specific Python topics: https://forms.gle/CXWte7XzVM3LYigE8.
